Resetting Your Password

Help

Overview

Use this guide to reset a forgotten password or change a known password for your VenueVue account. Password updates take effect immediately across all devices.

When To Use Each Method

  • Forgot Password: You cannot log in.
  • Change Password: You are logged in and want to update credentials.
  • Forced Reset: You received a security notice or your link expired.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the email address linked to your account in .
  • A stable internet connection.
  • (Optional) Authenticator device if MFA is enabled.

Forgot Password (From Login Screen)

  1. On the login screen, tap Forgot password?.
  2. Enter your account email and submit.
  3. Check your inbox for an email titled 'Reset Your Password' from support@venuevue.com.
  4. Tap the 'Reset Password' button (or copy the link into a browser).
  5. Create a new password that meets policy:
    • Minimum 8 characters
    • At least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 number, 1 symbol
  6. Confirm and submit. This will log you in automatically.
  7. If you suspect there has been unauthorized access we suggest sign out of all devices via .

Did Not Receive Email

  • Wait up to 2 minutes; check Spam/Junk/Promotions.
  • Search for: from:support@venuevue.com subject:"Reset Your Password".
  • If using corporate email, ask IT to allowlist: support@venuevue.com.
  • Retry the flow (limit: 5 requests per hour).

Links expire after 30 minutes or single use. Start the Forgot Password flow again. If links expire repeatedly, verify device time is correct (automatic time enabled).

Changing Password While Logged In

  1. Open .
  2. Tap .
  3. Enter current password.
  4. Enter and confirm new password.
  5. Submit. You will be presented with an option to sign out of all devices except this one.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Impact

  • Password reset does not remove MFA.
  • If you lose access to both password and MFA, open a support ticket with identity verification (photo ID + recent login metadata may be requested).

Security Tips

  • Use a password manager; avoid reuse.
  • Never share reset links.
  • Log out on shared or public devices after a reset.
  • If you suspect compromise, reset immediately and review Recent Activity in .

Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard autofill inserting old password: Clear saved credential and retype.
  • Mobile email app not opening link: Long-press link, copy, paste into system browser.
  • Captcha failing: Clear cache or switch network (avoid corporate VPN filters).

Q: Will changing my password log me out everywhere?
A: You can choose to sign out of all devices except the current one.

Q: Can support reset my password manually?
A: Support can trigger a reset email but cannot see or set a password for you.
